Senior Community Services Employment Program (SCSEP/Title V) Employment Services and opportunities; Job counseling, training and placement specifically for adults 55+  (program may provide paid, part-time, on the job training positions, with public and non-profit agencies, for unemployed and low income individuals age 55+ )

Bill handles all employment phone eligibility inquiries (no walk-ins) and he is there from 8 A.M. to 3 P.M. - M-F.

Work2Future focuses on the “Power of Integrated Service Delivery” – geared towards helping customers know, develop and upgrade their skills, to become the best job candidate.”  Career development services is a team-based customer service approach – Talent Welcome Team, Assessments, Talent coaching team, and employers services team, and a variety of workshops.  Appointments are required for Orientation and registration to access services.  Fax, telephone, computer lab, staff assisted copying is and EDD telephone line is available.  Customer must contact EDD line for assistance with UIB-unemployment related questions.  Completion of WorkKeys Assessment is required to access Online, SJCity College, Cohort or other vocational training.  Supportive services to assist in resolving employment related issues that might prevent employment are available for eligible clients.  Disability Navigator Martha bell.

Provides services and advocacy that assist people with disabilities to become employed and have quality in the communities in which they live and work.  DOR provides consultation, counseling and vocational rehabilitation and works with community partners to assist the consumers we serve.  (Training, education, transportation, employment, and some assistive-technology.)   Tips: Due to budget restraints, this department is not able to assist every client; services are based on assessment, degree of disability and need.  Individuals on SSI/SSA are advised to apply for Ticket to Work, prior to getting a job to see how much they can earn without affecting their benefits.
